Nothing But Nostalgia

Nothing But Nostalgia is a thesis project centered around predicting what future-retro clothing trends may look like. By researching pop culture trends from the early 2000s, I was able to bring elements from different aspects of the era, such as colors and patterns, and bring them into today’s contemporary fashion for my series of clothes. The tops that I chose to put the graphics on were popular back then are either now making their comeback or have been around ever since. 

The patterns incorporated on the clothes hint at the previous era while also maintaining a more contemporary style. The color palette used is a combination of hues from the 2000s, and the values display a pastel look that demonstrates the more muted tones used today. For the typography, I selected three typefaces that hint at the early 2000s and have a more contemporary look to them.
