Portland City Grill
Branding - Fictional Rebrand
The Portland City Grill is well known for its happy hour and hosting events, but most importantly, the view of the city from the 30th floor. Currently, their branding is too outdated and needs a refresh and be brought into today's modern world. Doing so would have a more minimal design that would keep the integrity of the business while also bringing it into today's modern world. I wanted to maintain the concept of a skyline in the wordmark, as the restaurant's selling point is the panoramic views. While still using the skyline concept, losing the details in the original logo would be the first ideal step in minimalizing the wordmark. Keeping it black and white will keep it looking sophisticated to match the overall brand and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Using thick-to-thin line work for the minimal skyline will also give it a modernized look.
